In the 1920s, after the First World War, there was a new phase that appeared with changes in politics, society, economy, culture, and technology. These changes were mainly due to soldiers who were in war returning back to their countries after the First World War ended. According to Tower (12), the 1920s were a fascinating period in history and was considered carefree and a time of wealth prosperity. People were able to afford goods and a good life and they gambled with the money they earned. On the other hand, the 1930s were years of depression throughout the world. People were in search for money since most needed economic prosperity. Experiences of the 1920s and the 1930s shaped the economy, government, and technology.

The 1920s which began after WWI were a period that experienced dramatic technological changes. These changes transformed the structure of the economy, challenged the social norms and governments of the 20th century. Technology revolution was greatly driven by electrical machinery, internal combustion engine, and spread of electricity to households and machinery (Haugen, 53-54).
