“Reverse cases” are designed to force you to think about how the concepts in each of the three modules in Machine, Platform, Crowd relate to your specific industry (or an industry that you’d like to learn about. For the online version of this course, we are following a standard five-paragraph essay format to help make sure the coaches are able to standardize grading as much as possible.
How to write a reverse case for this class:
Identify the focal firm that you would like to write about - my choice is eBay
Read the assigned module (Crowd), keeping in mind your focal firm (eBay)
Identify three salient points from the module that are reflected in organizational decisions that your focal firm made and list them as (a) (b) (c) (or organizational decisions that your focal firm should make)
Write your reverse case using the five-paragraph essay format
