My postgraduate major is in the direction of electrical equipment and power electronics under the general direction of electrical engineering. In order to simplify the contact with both targeted professors at the same time, I hope to settle the topic of our Research Proposal on the research domain about transistors (Power MOSFETs, Superjunctions, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors(IGBTs)…)of Prof. Florin Udrea and to try to relate the topic to the research fields of Prof. Gehan Amaratunga generally about Power Electronics, Power Conversion… which means a maximal superposition of both Professors in the dissertation.
The proposal should consist of the following 5 parts:

- CONTEXT OF YOUR RESEARCH

How will you position your research in relation to existing research in this field? What are the opportunities to make a significant and original contribution to the field of research?）
- PROPOSED METHODOLOGY（How do you intend to go about your research? Is your research predominantly doctrinal, theoretical, or empirical? What types of sources (primary or secondary) do you intend to employ in your research? Is your proposed research largely desk-based or do you need to engage initially in some form of field research, such as observing and interviewing practitioners or conducting practical experiments? What potential difficulties will you encounter during your research and possible solutions to them？）
- PROCEDURES and ANTICIPATED RESULT(Including a timetable or a flow chart for example if necessary )
- BIBLIOGRAPHY
By the way, please select a project which can completed in one year because my phd program is one-year program.
