According to Reddan (2013, p.225), students in colleges in America and other parts of the world are turning out to be more strategic in their study patterns as they do not take learning for the love of doing it alone. Students now concentrate on what they achieve at the end of the course in terms of a higher project mark or better degree. Students in higher education institutions find taking a course without assessment a demoralizing experience. Therefore, feedback and motivation in assessment tasks in colleges are connected, and they have a significant influence on the performance of students in the grading process.
