Concerns about Enacting Affordable Care Act
Affordable Care Act has a number of concerns since its enactment. One is what could happen if enough people fail to enroll. The Act is heavily dependent on healthier and younger individuals who ensure the older, sicker individuals enjoy the coverage by providing a less monetary drag on the system. Therefore with very few healthy young people and very many sick policyholders, the premiums will tend to go up year-in-year-out which may eventually discourage the younger generation. Another concern is that newly insured clients might not understand what they are paying for. This may lead to dissatisfaction of the new adopters making it difficult to market the healthcare plan.
Responsibilities of Community and Public Health Care Nurses
Public health nurses articulate and translate illness experiences of different usually vulnerable families, individuals or groups of populations to professionals like policy makers, health planners. They also translate information from the public to the professionals. Public health nurses provide health education, primary care to families, individuals or members of a population vulnerable to certain diseases or injury (Harkness & DeMarco, 2016). Community nurses just like the public health nurses provide teaching to families, individuals or population groups of populations about a disease. They also obtain necessary information on communicable diseases for use by the department of health.
