Mr John Hayes is a 75 year old man who has been admitted to the emergency department at 2000 hrs with right upper quadrant abdominal pain which is gnawing in nature ad radiates through to the back.
Current obs: T 36.5, P102 and regular, RR 28, BP 100/60, oxygen sats 94% on room air. Pain score 9/10. His GCS is 15.
Johns’ weight is 130kgs. John is married to Beryl aged 65 years. They live in a high set house and struggle to get up and down the stairs into the house. They have 2 sons who live nearby and visit regularly. Both John and Beryl have poor eyesight and wear glasses.

Past illnesses- pulmonary embolus at age 55.
Last ate- dinner at 1800. Chops and vegetables.
Case 2 STEMI Mr Ronald Bates is a 68year old retired schoolteacher who is driven to hospital by his wife following a three hour history of increasing shortness of breath and generalized chest discomfort, onset at breakfast time which later worsened whilst walking the dogs. Mr Bates is a known smoker, pale, sweaty and anxious on arrival and denies any regular medications. Ronald lives in a suburban area and the nearest hospital has a cardiac cath lab. Ron lives with his wife Jean in a high set house with 12 steps to enter the home. He has two daughters who live nearby
