Recapitulation Theory

The recapitulation theory states that every human passes through a change in the somatic and psychic senses. The theory further states that these changes follow the evolution scale of the mind and body. According to Hall, the growing children tend to develop best when they are given the freedom to develop and grow in the ways that they feel is best for them (Koops & Zuckerman, 2013).
