I had the meeting with my dissertation tutor and I had shared your given preference (organised crime). My tutor said to me that I would need to change the topic to something within media and crime as that is her specific and focus subject. I believe you did mention option 6 ‘media and crime’ earlier in the stage when I wrote an inquiry. Would you still be interested in studying and writing this dissertation for me? What topic within media and crime would you focus on? Please break it down for me 1) Which type of media will we be looking at 2) Which specific crime will be looking at 3) What specific theories/criminologists will we study? Also, can you please choose between these two options for the dissertation: What type of dissertation will you be doing? A) Empirical (i.e. interviews/surveys) work B) Theoretical work An example of a topic we can study is terrorism within the media – something along the lines I need you to choose something which you will be 100% comfortable in and you should have great experience and understanding of the topic.
