Design Project
For your Design Project you will take on one of the tasks of the Engineering For People Design Challenge. The project brief is available to you on Canvas.
Report
You are to write a design report in which you explain your choices and how you intend to tackle the key issues of your challenge area.
The report should be no more than 1000 words long and must be submitted with a table of contents (3%), an executive summary (10%), and all references (7%); this material is not included in the 1000 limit word count.
The report should clearly explain:
1- The process the student went through to identify the design criteria (15%)
2- The alternative options considered during the design process (10%)

3- The recommended design, addressing each of the review criteria that will be used to assess the reports (10%)
4- Justification for the recommended design based on the design criteria, in particular, how the selected design is appropriate to the social, environmental, economic and cultural context of the community (15%)
5- The long term sustainability of the recommended design (10%)
6- Any implementation plans (distribution, construction, operation) and maintenance or engineering work relating to the recommended design, in addition to a short risk assessment study of the recommended design (10%)
7- Contain a reflection report on student’s learning / experience gained (10%)

Extenuating Circumstances
If something serious happens that means that you will not be able to complete this assignment, you need to contact the module leader as soon as possible.
